- Increasing the demands for different services over the Internet, need for modern network designs and protocols to meet the required necessities is more appreciated. Therefore GMPLS protocol which can guarantee the Quality of Service has been introduced. Afterwards code-based GMPLS networks have been introduced which can provide different services with multi length variable weight codes for multimedia applications. In order to investigate network behavior, a comprehensive traffic model is required.
In this thesis an accurate and efficient model for the discussed networks using state dependent queuing network theory is introduced. By calculating the steady state probability of network, it accurately models traffic behavior of GMPLS network. In the proposed model, different paths are considered in the form of different customer classes. It also embeds properties of other labels such as OCDMA codes and wavelength in classes. By solving the obtained multi class queuing network we are able to evaluate the blocking probability as well as outage probability. It is worth noting that the proposed model is able to be used for WDM and multifiber WDM networks. We confirm the accuracy of the proposed model by simulation in many different scenarios - Keywords:
