- Abstract:
- The main aim of this thesis is to develop the technical knowledge of designing and making active ingredients of domestically produced drugs, decreasing the costs, independency in producing these products, and checking outflow of currency. It also aims to reduce the financial challenges of patients who have to pay huge amounts for such drugs. Conducting research in the field of reverse engineering and using its definition, and attempt in made to get knowledge into the stages of product development process, to determine the technical standards associated with each stage, to recognize how knowledge is shared during this process, and to present some methods of establishing the infrastructure needed for mass production level. Reducing the production costs and decreasing the price of the domestically produced drugs, as a result, is the most outstanding advantage of this thesis. At present, of the active ingredients of drugs are produced domestically, and the 63% are imported. Also this thesis aims to facilitate the access of pharmacists to the Deferasirox pharmaceutical active ingredients that are in Iran’s drug list. Furthermore it provides a plan for the reduction of the price of Deferasirox pharmaceutical active ingredient that is currently being imported and the primary ingredient of the tablets used by patients suffering from Talassemia. This will reduce the price of the tablets by up to 60% in comparison to their foreign counterparts.
