  7. Abstract:
  8. Today, organizations are surrounded by basic and continuous changes such as declining organizational resources, reduction of the production cycles, and the need for rapid adaption. Those organizations remain competitive while maintaining their productivity, that have following characteristics: accurately plan and assess their knowledge resources, create and absorb beneficial knowledge, store and organize their knowledge, disseminate knowledge to needed areas, and use knowledge in practice and decision making, to improve their products/services as well as their performance. Therefore, the human capital has been considered as knowledge owners and the most important organizational resource, on the other hand knowledge management (KM) has become an important tool for collecting available knowledge, organizing and distributing it. KM is a procedure of creating value for the intangible assets in the organization. Successful implementation of KM requires determining detailed goals and an appropriate strategy. The reason for selecting this research was the increasing significance and deployment of KM. This research tries to examine the dimensions and KM implementation methods in a case study. This study has a qualitative approach and the method is based on a case study. Data has been collected by questionnaires. The vision of this research encompasses creating and maintaining competitive advantage as well as improving efficiency and productivity of the case study. Since KM researchers emphasis on planning and formulating an appropriate KM strategy, as a key success factor in implementing KM, the methodologies for defining a knowledge strategy have been studied and one of the practical methods along with the knowledge-SWOT, as a complementary tool, have been used to define the knowledge strategy for the case study. Moreover, KM models have been surveyed to select a proper and suitable model for the case study. Also, Knowledge Management Diagnosis (KMD) has been done by a questionnaire. According to the KMD results, some KM tools have been proposed to be used during KM implementation.
