- Abstract:
- Formulating of general relativity and the assumption that gravity is only effective interaction in large-scale universe, has been a beginning for surveying the whole universe , its start and its end as a physical phenomenon. According to the Friedmann's answer to the Einstein's equation , Hubble observations and CMB radiation observations , the Big Bang model was accepted as the standard model of cosmology.
According to this model , the universe which is assumed homogeneous and isotropic , starts from a singularity (Bang) and is currently expanding. In 1970s after some tentative researches like observation of homogeneity and isotropy of CMB and visionary researches some problems like horizon , flatness , monopoles , and etc, were raised, which standard model was not able to answer theme. Therefore a new scenario for cosmology was needed. The most famous solution for the unsolved problems is inflation paradigm and inflationary model. However , there are some alternative paradigms. In this treatise, after a brief surveying of standard model problems, inflation paradigm as a solution for these problems will be studied. The most important criticisms on inflation is surveyed as well. Then, cyclic cosmology is studied as an alternative for inflation. This model poses the idea that universe has different cycles that each of them starts with a singularity and ends in a singularity. The form of transition among these cycles solve the problems of standard model - Keywords:
