- Abstract:
- Distribution of goods by vehicle routing with split delivery and effective usage of trucks are two important problems which are useful separately and could be applied for different kinds of depots with different trucks to satisfy customers’ demand. Combination of these two NP-hard problems can play a great role to decrease transportation cost. Complexity of this problem is so much that we cannot solve big-size problems by exact methods or branch and bound method in limited time. We introduce metaheuristics methods such as Tabu Search, Simulated Annealing and Ant Colony Optimization which have been presented before, concisely. We present various constraints in routing and distribution, container loading and distribution with container loading and also present one of the best and closest model by getting idea from articles to solve our defined problem. If we compare literature of models and their assumptions with ours, we couldn’t find any complete one and most of them have simpler assumptions. They don’t have various trucks, discrete demands, split delivery or time window with penalty cost. Due to this, we present new models and 3-dimensional loading constraints which represent all of our assumptions. Although new models are valuable, presenting a two-part heuristic algorithm for them makes its value more obvious. One of parts is extracted directly from researches have done before in container loading problem and other one which solves distribution problem with split delivery is new. Also the method of combination these two parts is able to solve our problem with appropriate accuracy in suitable time
