  7. Abstract:
  8. The nanoparticles have been widely used in the field of physics, chemistry, electronics and mechanics because of their high surface area. One of their most important applications is in drug delivery systems as smart drug nanocarrier. Magnetic nanoparticles (including Fe2O3, Fe3O4) are the good candidates for this purpose. It is clear that, upon to entrance of nanoparticle into biological media (such as plasma), the surface of nanoparticles were covered by protein layers (protein corona). This layer is very stable and created new surface on the nanoparticles. The protein corona layer intracts with cellular receptors and determines the fate of nanoparticles. Protein corona covers the targeting ligand and finally reduces their effects in biological media. Up to now, the researchers reported the drug release profile in media without protein source, but it was very different from biological media. Herein, in the present research, magnetic mesoporous silica nanoparticles was chosen as nanocarrier and in vitro drug release profile was studied in media with different protein concentratuions (10%,100%). On the other hand, the effect of polyethylene glycol on the nano surface was studied. The results showed that the protein corona formation on the nanoparticle surfaces caused to increased drug release compared to nanoparticles without MPEG segment. The characterization was done by some techniques: TEM, SEM, AFM, DLS, Zeta, TGA, SDS-PAGE,XRD, FT-IR
