- Abstract:
- The availability of wireless sensor networks (WSN) and possibility of sense and transmission of multimedia data has fostered the development of wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSN). Limitations of WSNs such as energy constraint and bandwidth alongside WMSNs quality of services requirements, causes challenges in routing of these networks. Many methods has been proposed to overcome routing challenges in WMSNs. Group of these methods transmit data to next hop by using geographical location of nodes. In order to meet QoS requirements of WMSNs as much as possible and reduce interference of routing paths, a new method is proposed. Proposed method is a location aware and nodes are aware of their remaining energy. In proposed method routing packets to sink is done by send them to intermediate nodes and forward packets to sink from these nodes. Intermediate nodes are selected from group of nodes in circles in top and down of network area between source and sink. End to end delay and packet delivery ratio of the proposed method is compared to previous methods. Simulation results shown that by increasing data rate, end to end delay of proposed method is lower than previous methods and packet delivery ratios are almost same
