- Abstract:
- Nowadays, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) play a role in the field of information technology for data gathering purposes. In general, each WSN contains many inexpensive wireless nodes, each capable of collecting, processing, and storing environmental information, and communicating with neighboring nodes. WSNs have been successfully used in different applications such as object tracking, emergency guiding, and environment monitoring. The popular WSN platforms in real-world applications are MICAz, Tmote , and Dust Network. Two standards, namely the ZigBee and IEEE 802.15.4 standards are projected to provide interoperability of different platforms, and to define physical, MAC, and network layers of WSN networks for low-rate, low-power wireless communications. In a WSN, broadcast and convergecast are two common procedures, which generally are executed concurrently. However, most existing works only consider one way (broadcast or convergecast) communication. The goal of this work is to design an efficient beacon scheduling solution for ZigBee tree based networks to support low-latency transmissions for both broadcast and convergecast. In this thesis, we described a two-way transmission in Zig Bee tree based Wireless Sensor Networks. The proposed method is somewhat in reducing latency and in terms of specific method to better performance than LTBS delay of demonstrates. We used NS-2 simulator and evaluated our work. The results showed that the proposed method was effective. The results have been the network performance increasing throughput, lower drop and packet loss, and reducing the average delay
