- Abstract:
- Recently lots of studies have been done on driving cycles and parameters affecting pollutants emission and fuel consumption. Due to changes of driving behavior and traffic situations, it’s necessary to update driving cycle of a city to obtain more accurate simulation and analysis results. In this project, first of all driving cycle of Tehran city is developed using three different methods. These methods include choosing representative microtrips from specified traffic situations, clustering and choosing representative microtrips from all available data. Results show that using clustering method is more accuarate and parameters of the cycle developed using this method is closer to measured parameters of all data rather than the other two methods of developing driving cycles. Next, a model is prepared at GT-Suite software to estimate pollutants emission and fuel consumption. The model is verified using available data of Saipa X100 car. After that, some changed are applied to FTP-75 cycle to analyse the effect of different parameters on pollutants emission and fuel consumption. FTP-75 cycle is modified in a way that it keeps its whole schematic. In addition, analyses show that driving with high acceleration results in more fuel consumption and CO pollutant emission in comparision to driving in an economic way
