- Abstract:
- This thesis represents a comprehensive view of electric vehicles from the macroeconomic policy in the energy sector perspective. In fact, in this thesis all the efficient factors in the presence of electric vehicles in the transport sector have been completely proceed. Environmental, economic, social and political factors, power grids and infrastructure are considered as the impressive factors. In order to check all factors comprehensively, Systems thinking based on dynamic system method is used. The causal relationships between all the variables which are involved in the presence of electric vehicles and related models to this thesis are simulated in VENSIM software. To investigate this model, Tehran is considered as a case of study. First, in an initial analysis of the current situation in Tehran, the number of the electric vehicles and their impact on greenhouse gas emissions in the transport sector are processed and the level of ability of the power grid to respond the added burden of charging electric vehicles and amount of the emissions and related costs that the number of electric vehicles, according to the regional power grid of Tehran would impose the electricity sector will be cleared. Based on these preliminary results, scenarios and strategies aimed to reduce the burden and costs imposed on the power sector, increase sales rate and progress in terms of infrastructure charging are considered to examine which scenarios could have more opportunities in order to achieve the objective set out in the guidelines to determine the optimum number of electric vehicles in a 35 years plan in Tehran
