- Abstract:
- Recent years of capitalism bold role and the competitive environment of variant fields of our life, sparking the idea which considers the electricity (one of the most crucial human requirement) as a commodity of a competitive market to be traded between confident subscribers by easy access. Therefore, by converting the exclusive structure of electricity supply system to a competitive one, some new roles are created to fulfill the electricity generation, transmission and distribution processes. Retail is one of the new roles, defined as a power system restructuring development helper by support of electricity trading, which can be involved in different transactions according to the market rules but the most important duty of retailer is to buy electricity from wholesale market and sell it to the retail market consumers. Indeed, retailer benefit lay on more selling price and less purchase price. In this thesis, the gold is to provide a model to maximize the retailer benefit while a specified amount of load is supplied by distributed generation, wholesale market, day-ahead market and even by using load demand and response control. A problem in the form of 24 hours short-term plan is modeled as a non-linear mixed integer program to be studied in consecutive steps. In provided models, risks arising from uncertainties involved in wholesale market prices have been studied by considering the value index of conditional risks. Finally, some proper analysis is discussed according to various simulations to determine how a retailer should act in market due to its benefit and risks
