  7. Abstract:
  8. Cloud Manufacturing is a new paradigm which under development and has been introduced as one of the promising models for providing ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable manufacturing resources (e.g, networks, servers, facilities, applications, robots, machines and services) that can be rapidly provisioned with minimal management effort and service provider’s interaction. Cloud Manufacturing is defined based on Cloud Computing. Like the Cloud Computing, Cloud Manufaturing offers a service-oriented architecture that is based on information technology (IT) in which each manufacturing resources is expressed as a service. For providing a service-oriented system in network production systems, cloud manufacturing offers new ideas to researchers. Nowadays, by spreading the concept of providing everything as a service, the manufacturing systems strive to exploit from the solution which helps them to work in this environments. In this thesis, the planning and scheduling aspect ha been focused with a service-oriented approch. As Cloud manufacturing concept suggests to provide every tasks and processes should be provided as a service, operation process chart (OPC) are used to achieve this goal better. Operation process chart provides a through look over the entire manufacturing processes need to produce a product. Accordingly, this paper proposes exploiting the potentials of a product's operation process chart for planning in a Cloud manufacturing system. Also by examining through current models, there was a significant gap for effective and efficient solutions in service-oriented cloud manufacturing. The paper proposes a mathematical model which selects an operation process chart with minimum operation and logistic cost. The model consists of variables which insure the entire operations of an operation process chart would be accomplished by considering the logistical aspects. Finally, the paper has presented a numerical example and conclude the remarks, and outlines the future works. The conlusion is that in the Cloud Maufacturing paradigm, the logistics cost are so effective and there should be future research toward the logistic cost sharing among manufacturing se4rvice providers and demanders
