- Abstract:
- Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) and large scale structure observations are in good agreement with standard model of cosmology know as Lambda CDM. Standard model is based on cold dark matter and Cosmological constant. It also assumes that the cosmic initial conditions are Gaussian, nearly scale invariant, adiabatic and isotropic. Although this model is in good agreement with observational data, there are some important unsolved problems such as dark energy, dark matter and Missing Baryon Problem (MBP). Also there are some observational anomalies such as dipole and quadrapole alignment and hemispherical asymmetry in CMB fluctuations. Distribution of baryons in the universe and particularly MBP are two important questions in cosmology which we address in this thesis. CMB data and Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN) indicate that the fraction of baryons to total matter is in order of one to sixth, however only a portion of this fraction is detected in cosmological large scales (such as clusters, groups and galaxies) observations. On the other hand observing 21cm emission line of neutral Hydrogen is one of the most promising future cosmological projects. Australia, New Zealand and South Africa are host of Square Kilometer Array observatory (SKA) which will begin to work at 2020 and will provide an unexampled chance to make maps of neutral Hydrogen in the universe. In the first step to forecast future observations of SKA, we will study power spectrum of neutral Hydrogen fluctuations at Epoch of Reionization (EoR) by using Excursion set Theory Model for Reionization; Then we will discuss the possibility of detecting dipole asymmetry due to long mode modulation in angular power spectrum of neutral Hydrogen map. We intend to study scaling relations which relates dynamical and stellar mass and other observational parameters of galaxies for MBP. Our main goal is to study environment dependency of galaxy formation and evolution and role of merging history in MBP. Finally we will offer a research proposal base on fundamental plane and halo abundance matching method for this purpose
