- Abstract:
- In this research, we study and optimize the inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs) using nano layers of NiOx and Li:NiOx as hole transporting layers (HTLs) and nano layers of PC70BM and C60 as electron transporting layers (ETLs). We fabricated inverted PSCs with three different HTLs, namely MoOx, PEDOT:PSS and NiOx, using vapor assisted solution processed (VASP) method for making MAPbI3 perovskite which yielded a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 1%, 1.93% and 3.65%, respectively. Solution-processed deposition method, high transparency (˃90%) and high band gap (3.9 eV) are the most advantages to use NiOx as HTL in current research. Using lithium as dopant to the NiOx increases the conductivity and carrier density of NiOx thin layer. For perovskite deposited by VASP and antisolvent methods based on Li:NiOx the PCEs improved from 4.9% and 7.73% to 7.88% and 11.9%, respectively. We also take advantage of ZnO nanoparticles as buffer layer between cathode and PCBM to decrease the recombination and improve the fill factor and current density of devices, yielded PCE of 13.5%. By the target of removing pin-holes in the (FAPbI3)0.83(MAPbBr3)0.17 perovskite film in the inverted structure by NiOx as HTL, we have used the DMSO vapor treatment. Therefore we have exposed the perovskite film to the DMSO vapor. The DMSO vapor treatment removes the pin-holes and augments the crystallinity of perovskite. Then we construct inverted PSCs using the DMSO-treated perovskite film and PC70BM and C60 as ETLs, yielded PCE of 10.5% and 13.9%, from 4.9% and 10.5%, respectively
