  7. Abstract:
  8. the gravitational wave (GW) which is a prediction of General Relativity has entered a new era after being detected by Ligo observatory in 2015. new discoveries are still being made. the discovery of GW is a new opportunity for studying gravity, astrophysical sources of GWs like binary black-holes or binry neutron stars as well as testing cosmology models.on the other hand, it should be mentioned that the astronomy of gravitational waves is in its dawn stage. in future having numerous precise detectors and by accumulation of data, speaking about exact phenomena and statistical analysis will become meaningful. as in the case of cosmic microwave background physics, in which researchers started to study the intervening effect as the data became more and more precise, it is forecasted that in future it will be common to investigate intervening effects on gravitational waves. In this thesis, we will first investigate the physics of astrophysical sources of gravitational waves. then we will consider some of intervening effects such as strong lensing and Shappiro effect. we will investigate the center of the galaxies as a great candidate for such effects to happen. in the section of results, we make some predictions for traces of such effects in the future data and study the physics of such effects thoroughly.it is worth mentioning that in this thesis we have dedicated a chapter to geometrical comprehension of mathematical foundations of General Relativiy which is unique in its own kind
