- Abstract:
- Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been utilized extensively for many years, most of them in the military. But in recent years, the commercial applications particularly last-mile delivery to customers of these devices have also attracted much attention. In this research, we have used traditional vehicles or trucks next to UAVs to improve operations, and we intend to create optimal synchronization between the path of the truck and the UAV with each other. Trucks and UAVs can be separated from each other and serve customers independently and reconnect. Also, in order to be closer to the real world, there is a specified time window for each customer that it is necessary to deliver orders in these intervals. In the following, a linear model and one-objective integer will be proposed that intends to minimize the coverage time of all customers and the amount of late delivery of orders. Then, the model is solved in small dimensions with optimization software and for the problem with large dimensions, the simulated annealing meta-heuristic algorithm and also the heuristic algorithm derived from Murray and Chu research are proposed
