  7. Abstract:
  8. Today, the importance of scientific collaborations is due to the fact that researchers who jointly publish an article, research connections are formed between them, and as a result, professional learning is obtained. Each of these researchers brings a feature and advantage to the research team, such as mastering a particular topic and its subdivisions, team thinking, and division of labor between them. The importance of these collaborations is doubled when researchers collaborate with each other at the international level, because the networking of researchers through collaboration with colleagues from different countries, especially central and developed countries in science, in addition to access to up-to-date resources and equipment, also are Increasing the quality of research and increases the visibility of their research activities. The relationships created between these authors can be done using the social network analysis method that studies the network of scientific collaborations. Co-authorship networks are analyzed based on different metrics, one of the most useful metrics to study these networks that are used in the present study is the network centrality index. The main purpose of this study is to effecting of international collaboration of faculty members on the centrality of the university network based on the number of collaborations. Data analysis method is multiple linear regression that is used to understand the correlation and relationship between network centrality and the number of co-authors of faculty members. The results of the analysis showed that between the variables of the number of international collaborations of faculty members and the ratio of international collaborations to the total collaborations of faculty members of Isfahan University of Technology, Iran University of Science and Technology, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Sharif University of Technology in Electrical and computer engineering has a significant relationship in the degree of centrality and the Betweeness centrality of their university network at the level of 0.01. The results of regression analysis showed that international collaborations of faculty members lead to them being at the center of the university network, in other words, international collaborations of faculty members lead to these individuals approaching the center of the network in the center of their university network. the results of another regression show that the ratio of international collaborations to the total collaborations of faculty members has an inverse effect on the centrality of the network, it means that the weight of international collaborations of university faculty members relative to their total collaborations leads to faculty members Away from the center of their university network
