  7. Abstract:
  8. Intelligent transportation systems (ITS), refers to systems in which various types of data receiving and processing operations of traffic and transportation, as well as management and control, are used by automated and intelligent tools and by using modern electronic and control platforms along with the relevant planning. In intelligent transportation systems, new communication, electronic and optical technologies along with computer technologies, mechanical equipment, etc. are used for data retrieval and data mining that the required data is usually received and collected automatically and instantaneous, integrated and simultaneous access to the data set of the transportation network makes the decision-making and management process much more efficient than traditional data monitoring, collection and processing systems. One of the challenges in these systems is how to receive and collect this data and process it. In the data collection section, due to the existence of different sensors and devices that follow each of the different standards in the structure of the Internet of Things, online and simultaneous communication with all these components will require very precise and precise infrastructure. Also, after receiving this data, due to the large volume and variety of this data, it is very important how to store and process this big data. The purpose of this dissertation is to design and implement appropriate hardware and software structures to implement each part of the system, so the data will be received online from various sensors, then placed in the initial storage queue, then stored in the database and processed. Also, due to the important position of cameras in this system, the dissertation examines the types of optical detectors related to cameras
