  7. Abstract:
  8. Nuclear waste management in Iran is the responsibility of the Nuclear Waste Company. The waste company is obliged to bury waste with a certain level of radioactivity, resulting from various processes of the nuclear fuel cycle or other processes such as research projects and medical centers, after the necessary measures, finally at the Anarak landfill site. To evaluate the safety of the site, it is necessary to study the parameters of radioactive nucleation in the soil. Humic substances from natural substances in the soil affect the transport of radioactive nuclei. In this project, to study the effects of the presence of humic acid, the soil of Anarak residue in three weight percent compositions of 0.001, 0.002 and 0.003 of humic acid to the soil was used to fill the column. The 50 ppm cobalt solution is then labeled with cobalt-60 and injected into the column. After injection of the radioactive material using sodium iodide scintillation detector, the concentration-location profile inside the column is obtained. The data from the column scan were entered into ORIGIN software to calculate the relationship between the count measured by the detector and the cobalt concentration. Then we use STANDMOD software to solve the convection-dispersion equation and by fitting the calculated concentrations and solving the equation, the transfer parameters R and D for the landfill soil are obtained. For the three columns, the delay factor was calculated to be 82.68, 90.63 and 146.4, respectively
