  7. Abstract:
  8. Today, with the proliferation of smart devices and the advent of various innovative applications, there has been an exponential surge in the number of users in telecommunication networks. Consequently, the data traffic rate is escalating considerably. This has created a major predicament for wireless networks due to the limited frequency spectrum. Therefore, the conventional centralized architecture makes it difficult for the network to address these numerous simultaneous requests. This issue can be solved by designing new architectures. In a way, network information is disseminated to the network's periphery and the contents of the primary data center are provided temporarily in closer proximity to users. In addition to diminishing the network's traffic load, this measure mitigates the latency issue and augments the quality of the service received. Due to the constrained capacity of short-term memory, it is imperative to implement response policies that enhance network efficiency, particularly given the repeated occurrence of similar requests over time. The fundamental objective of this thesis is to concentrate on distributed storage networks, modeled through the use of queuing networks to ascertain delay towards storage servers, based on statistical network parameters like the arrival rate of diverse file requests. The ultimate aim is to diminish delay and enhance network efficiency through the implementation of response policies that are well-equipped to handle similar requests. It is worth mentioning here that we are going to scrutinize the delay behavior in this given scenario and endeavor to furnish a formulation to articulate it. Subsequently, we will juxtapose the numerical and simulation results to demonstrate that the proposed model precisely predicts the delay behavior in this scenario. Moreover, this model serves as a valuable instrument to evaluate system performance, and delay in similar problems
