  7. Abstract:
  8. In this research, the effect of the changes of the factors affecting the stability and vibrations of the rotating shaft with the middle universal joint has been investigated. Using the energy method, the rotor motion equations for two five-degree-of-freedom Jefkat rotors have been obtained. By considering the effect of system vibrations on the angle between the rotors and using the existing constraint relations at the connection point of the rotors and inserting them into the equations, finally the equation of motion of the investigated system has been obtained as seven degrees of freedom. Due to the variable speed of the output shaft, the coefficients of the degrees of freedom are dependent on time, and Floquet's theory has been used to analyze their stability, in which the stability of the system at the working angle of the system and different input speeds has been checked, and the accuracy of the obtained results has been verified. It has been done by comparing it with the results of bifurcation and Poincaré diagrams and time response. The parameters whose changes have been investigated on the stability of the system include the stiffness of the bearings, the damping of the bearings, the location of the bearings and the distance between the center of mass and the geometric center of the rotor and by comparing their Floquet diagrams, the variations of the system's instability limit have been investigated
