  7. Abstract:
  8. Within the realm of construction, the mechanical properties of materials hold significant importance. Currently, as the world strives towards environmentally friendly construction practices, there is a concerted effort to utilize both recycled materials and strong, long-lasting construction techniques. The research conducted on Kish Island, Iran, specifically examines the significance of mechanical properties in the field of construction. The soil samples were obtained from a depth of 2 to 3 meters below the surface, and a binder was introduced to enhance the soil's inherent weak properties. The study investigated the utilization of cement as a cohesive substance, analyzing three different ratios: 10%, 5%, and 2.5%. The study revealed that specimens containing a cement content of 10% demonstrated superior strength in comparison to those with lower percentages. The coastal region exhibited a prevalence of specimens that displayed exceptional resilience in resisting compressive and tensile forces. The specimens underwent X-ray diffraction (XRD) tests to determine the mineral species. This study emphasizes the importance of mechanical properties in the construction sector and the necessity for eco-friendly practices
