  7. Abstract:
  8. One of the proposed methods for enhancing optical networks and increasing their capacity is the use of the band multiplexing concept. This approach leverages additional available bands in optical fibers, enabling a significant boost in network capacity at much lower costs compared to other methods. However, fully utilizing the potential of this concept requires efficient resource allocation strategies to adequately counteract the nonlinear effects in optical fibers caused by increased bandwidth. In this research, we introduce an innovative method that simultaneously considers the physical layer constraints and user quality of service requirements for resource allocation in multi-band optical networks. The proposed method takes advantage of the inherent differences between various network requests to allocate the appropriate wavelength and band to each request. It also utilizes the differences in network request requirements to assign the appropriate transmission power, thereby reducing nonlinear effects. The results of this study indicate that the proposed method can outperform other suggested methods in this field, reducing the blocking probability in a real urban network by a significant 7%
