  7. Abstract:
  8. Electronic health record are records consisting of users' health history, doctor visits, patient treatment prescriptions, and medications taken by the patient. Various entities, including patients, doctors, validators, and service providers, are also present in the electronic health system. Consequently, we need to register and maintain all the activities of the various entities in the system. To record the activities of the entities, we need a data structure that makes the data accessible to everyone and allows all entities to verify the data. Additionally, the data must be immutable. To meet these requirements, we use the blockchain network in the proposed system. The designed system must also protect the privacy of users in the network. In the proposed system, we have examined various aspects of user privacy; users' identities should not be revealed when recording their activities. For this purpose, we utilize the ring signature feature. Given that health data is stored in the cloud, and considering that cloud servers are not necessarily trustworthy entities, users' data must remain hidden from these servers while stored in the cloud. The solution presented in this thesis is the use of searchable encryption. Another aspect of user privacy addressed in this thesis is preventing the disclosure of additional information to service providers. To achieve this, we use a non-interactive zero-knowledge proof system
