Abstract:
This research evaluates the fiscal regime of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and its impact on the company's performance. The main objective of the study is to examine the effect of the financial relationship between the government and NIOC over two time periods: before and after the 1979 revolution. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the research analyzes how changes in the fiscal regime and the government-NIOC relationship have influenced the company's production outputs. The results indicate that the fiscal regime and shifts in government policies have played a crucial role in NIOC’s performance, at times strengthening and at other times weakening its capabilities. The findings suggest that improving NIOC's performance requires a revision of the fiscal regime and strengthening its independence from the government. This could enhance the company's management and efficiency, ultimately contributing to the overall macroeconomic growth of the country
