Cerebrovascular Attack has been ranked the second or third of top 10 death causes in Taiwan. It has caused about 13,000 deaths every year since 1986. Once Cerebrovascular Attack (CVA) occurs, it not only leads to the huge cost of medical care, but even death. All developed countries in the world put CVA prevention and treatment in high priority. However, it is necessary to build a detective model to enhance the accurate diagnosis of CVA. Flight Dynamic Modeling of an Articulated FMAV Using Quasi Steady Aerodynamics

Abstract
This thesis is focused on flight dynamics modeling and analysis of an articulated Flapping Micro Air Vehicle (FMAV), where the articulating joint is placed near the wing mid chord span. The articulation modeling, its results and verification due to added degrees of freedom are considered the key motivation and novelties of this project. Initial analyses indicated that a simple articulation device such as joint is not appropriate and will not be efficient for flying FMAV. As a corrective action, a spring-damper mechanism was utilized beside the articulation. Sensitivity Analysis and Optimal Control of a Nano-Newton CMOS-MEMS Capacitive Force Sensor for Biomedical Applications

Abstract
In the first part of the thesis, we introduce the structure of a Nano-Newton CMOS-MEMS capacitive force sensor. This force sensor has been utilized out-of-plane sensing mechanism with high accuracy and reliability. Also, we discuss about sensitivity analysis of this force sensor. The largest change of capacitance (increased capacitance + decreased capacitance) occurs in ℓ=2/3. Sensitivity for increased capacitance grows by 8.33% and for decreased capacitance grows by 2.27%. The proposed method provides useful guidelines to increase the sensitivity of the sensor up to 250%. Atomic force microscope (AFM) has a significant capability of imaging surface topography on an atomic scale. It is also widely used for Nanolithography in MEMS/NEMS (micro/nanoelectromechanical systems). Conventional AFMs consist of a cantilever with a sharp conical or pyramidal tip located at the free end of the cantilever that plays an important role in AFM measurements.
