    Abstract
In this article, a novel cooperative secondary voltage/frequency control considering time-varying delays and noises in fading channels is presented for an autonomous alternating current (AC) voltage sourced-based converter (VSC)-based microgrid (MG), including inverter-interfaced distributed generations (DGs). Fading phenomenon makes complex random fluctuations on the voltage and frequency of every DG received from its neighbor DGs. In multi-agent cooperative systems, in addition to the total additive noise and time-variant delay, a multiplicative complex random variable is considered to model the main received signal and its replicas due to multipath propagation. The proposed...

Reliability Evaluation of Heat Recovery Steam Generator of Combined Cycle Thermal Power Plants

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Khaksar Haghani Dehkordi, Siamak (Author) ; Saeedi, Mohammad Hassan (Supervisor) ; Kazemzadeh Hannani, Siamak (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Combined cycle power plants consist of three main sections, namely gas turbine, Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) and steam turbine. Occurring failure in HRSG causes the steam turbine trip, so the reliability assessment of HRSG has a great importance for forecasting the probability of occurring failure and also reducing failure causes. In this project, the reliability of HRSG considering effects of aging phenomenon, maintenance and, environmental and operational conditions on reliability is modeled. Afterward a method to estimate the model parameters is introduced. Using present method, failure data of six HRSGs of a plant each with a capacity of 50 MW is analyzed and the model parameters...

A game theory approach for maximum utilization of wind power by DR in residential consumers

    , Article 10th IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Europe, ISGT-Europe 2020, 26 October 2020 through 28 October 2020 ; Volume 2020-October , 2020 , Pages 111-115 Tavakkoli, M ; Fattaheian Dehkordi, S ; Pourakbari Kasmaei, M ; Liski, M ; Lehtonen, M ; IEEE Power and Energy Society ; Sharif University of Technology

    Abstract
This paper proposes an indirect load control demand response (DR) strategy for residential houses. A Stackelberg game theory is applied to account for the interaction between the aggregator in one side and the consumers on the other side. The aggregator, which owns a wind power plant, strives to maximize wind power utilization by consumers. Therefore, it motivates the consumers to adjust their load demand according to the forecasted wind power production by offering a bonus to them. On the other hand, consumers attempt to achieve the highest amount of reward by changing their load profile. It is assumed that each consumer has a critical load of which they have no control, and also a flexible...

Bubble size distribution in two-dimensional gas-solid fluidized beds

    Abstract
In this article, the digital image analysis (DIA) technique has been used to study the bubble size and bubble size distribution evolution in a pseudo-two-dimensional gas-solid fluidized bed. In addition, a numerical discrete bubble model (DBM) based on the bubble-bubble interactions was developed and the model predictions were compared with the experimental data. The developed model can predict the bubble size and bubble size distribution through the bed height and the lateral distribution of bubbles. Comparison between model predictions and the result of DIA measurements shows that bubble breakage has a significant effect on the bubble size distribution especially at heights far from the...
