    Abstract
With considering the existence of carbonyl sulfide in natural gas and crude oil, we need to study the absorption of this gas in aqueous alkanolamine solutions. In this project the solubility of carbonyl sulfide in different pressures and two temperatures of 313.15 and 348.06 K have been measured. The absoption of carbonyl sulfide in aqueous alkanolamine solutions is a very slow process. In this study we used different methods for measuring the required data. Befor the experiments we calibrated the set up with reliable data. Finaly the results simulated with Deshmakh-Mather thermodynamic model, numerically. The simulation results show a good agreement with experimental data

    Abstract
Abnormalities in the topology of brain networks may be an important feature and etiological factor for psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES). To explore this possibility, we applied a graph theoretical approach to functional networks based on resting state EEGs from 13 PNES patients and 13 age- and gender-matched controls. The networks were extracted from Laplacian-transformed time-series by a cross-correlation method. PNES patients showed close to normal local and global connectivity and small-world structure, estimated with clustering coefficient, modularity, global efficiency, and small-worldness metrics, respectively. Yet the number of PNES attacks per month correlated with a...

    Abstract
The interhemispheric asymmetries that originate from connectivity-related structuring of the cortex are compromised in schizophrenia (SZ). Under the assumption that such abnormalities affect functional connectivity, we analyzed its correlate - EEG synchronization - in SZ patients and matched controls. We applied multivariate synchronization measures based on Laplacian EEG and tuned to various spatial scales. Compared to the controls who had rightward asymmetry at a local level (EEG power), rightward anterior and leftward posterior asymmetries at an intraregional level (1st and 2nd order S-estimator), and rightward global asymmetry (hemispheric S-estimator), SZ patients showed generally...

Study the Effect of Ionic Liquids on the Formation and Growth of Methane Clathrate Hydrates Using Molecular Dynamics Simulation

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Haji Nasrollah, Mohammad Ebrahim (Author) ; hikhani, Vahid (Supervisor) ; Ghotbi, Siroos (Supervisor) ; Jalili, Amir Hossein (Supervisor)
    Abstract
The formation of gas hydrates in oil and gas industries has been the subject of long-standing problems. For example, the hydrate formation may occur and block gas pipelines which can lead to safety hazards. All of these will result in catastrophic economic losses and ecological risks. Therefore, various methods were developed to mitigate the formation of gas hydrate. In many cases, the hydrate inhibition by adding kinetic and thermodynamic inhibitors to the system is the only viable option. But recently using ionic liquids as novel hydrate inhibitors and the discovery of dual function thermo-kinetic inhibitors have been studied. In this project the performance of six imidazolium-based ionic...

    Abstract
Ionic liquids (IL's) are found to be potentially suitable solvents for the chemical process industry, especially due to their negligible vapor pressure which can result in a major decrease of solvent loss and the environmental harm. One of the foreseeable industrial applications in the field of natural gas processing is the replacement of traditional organic solvents (usually alkanol amines) presently used for the absorption of H2S from sour gases, by suitable IL's. Ionic liquids have been proposed for the separation of gas mixtures. In particular, ionic liquids have been suggested for the removal of the acid gases, hydrogen sulfide, and carbon dioxide, from natural gases and refinery gases....

    Abstract
In order to overcome the shortcomings of the recent frameworks and mechanisms for semantic-based access control, this paper presents a semantic-based, context-aware, and multi-domain enabled framework implementing a semantic-based access control mechanism for Semantic Web. The access control framework is based on the MA(DL)2 model, which takes the semantic relationships among different entities into account. The framework handles the Semantic Web context by classifying and representing it through an ontology. Considering the MA(DL)2 model, the framework assumes SemanticWeb having some overlapped domains, which each contains an authority and a security agent. As a domain authority...

    Abstract
It remains unclear whether causal, rather than merely correlational, relationships in molecular networks can be inferred in complex biological settings. Here we describe the HPN-DREAM network inference challenge, which focused on learning causal influences in signaling networks. We used phosphoprotein data from cancer cell lines as well as in silico data from a nonlinear dynamical model. using the phosphoprotein data, we scored more than 2,000 networks submitted by challenge participants. The networks spanned 32 biological contexts and were scored in terms of causal validity with respect to unseen interventional data. A number of approaches were effective, and incorporating known biology was...
