    Abstract
    Sound source localization has always been one of the most challenging subjects in different fields of engineering, one of the most important of which being tracking of flying objects. This article focuses on sound source localization using fuzzy fusion and a beamforming method. It proposes a new fuzzy-based algorithm for localizing a sound source using distributed sensor nodes. Eight low-cost sensor nodes have been constructed in this study each of which consists of a microphone array to capture sound waves.     Hematite is recognized as a promising photoanode for photoelectrochemical water oxidation to produce solar hydrogen due to its favorable properties. However, the high charge carrier recombination rate due to low electrical conductivity and sluggish oxygen reduction kinetics of pure hematite hinder its photocatalytic activity. This work proposed a new hematite-based heterostructure of Ti-Fe2O3/Fe2TiO5/FeOOH, synthesized through a hydrothermal method.     Many studies in the field of sleep have focused on connectivity and coherence. Still, the nonstationary nature of electroencephalography (EEG) makes many of the previous methods unsuitable for automatic sleep detection. Time-frequency representations and high-order spectra are applied to nonstationary signal analysis and nonlinearity investigation, respectively. Therefore, combining wavelet and bispectrum, wavelet-based bi-phase (Wbiph) was proposed and used as a novel feature for sleep-wake classification.     Combustion emission is one of the most important issues in the design of industries. Todays' strict environmental standards have limited the productions of CO, NOx, SOx, and other hazardous pollutants from the related industries. In this work, we study a typical oil refinery incinerator, which is used to burn waste gases residue produced during bitumen production process. The waste gas mainly includes a mixture including N2, H2O-vapor, and O2 species. Additionally, there are significant amounts of CO species and CxHy droplets in the waste gas composition.     Abstract
    The electrooculogram (EOG) artifact is one of the main contaminators of electroencephalographic recording (EEG). EOG can make serious problems in results and interpretations of EEG processing. Rejecting contaminated EEG segments result in an unacceptable data loss. Many methods were proposed to correct EOG artifact mainly based on regression and blind source separation (BSS). In this study, we proposed an automatic correction method based on maximum likelihood estimation. The proposed method was applied to our simulated data (real artifact free EEG plus controlled EOG) and results show that this method gives superior performance to Schlögl and SOBI methods

    Abstract
    In this paper we consider the content distribution to a set of mobile users interested in the same content. We use the concept of mobile clouds, which exploits cooperation between mobile terminals over the low-power short-range links. We propose, formulate and investigate the energy efficiency and delay of four realistic cooperative content delivery strategies. The derived results, through analysis of mathematical models and simulations, demonstrate around 65% to 95% energy saving gain in mobile cloud strategies compared to conventional multicasting. We also show that using mobile clouds, content distribution delay can be reduced for up to 85%

    Sleep spindle is the hallmark of second stage of sleep in human being, which is defined as a rhythmic sequence with waxing and waning waves, whose frequency is approximately between 8 to 14 Hz, and its time duration is between 0.5 to 2 seconds. Bump modeling is a method for extracting regions with higher amounts of energy in a related time-frequency map.     A single cell downlink scenario is considered, where a multiple-antenna base station delivers contents to cache-enabled user terminals. Depending on the available degrees of freedom, several multicast messages are transmitted in parallel to distinct subsets of users. In the multicast beamformer design, we restrict ourselves to linear receiver implementation, which does not require successive interference cancellation unlike in the more optimal baseline scheme.
