    Organizing P2P nodes in semantically partitioned space

    Abstract
    Peer-to-peer networks are beginning to form the infrastructure of future applications. The use of semantic information to organize nodes in a P2P network is a prosperous approach. In this paper we present a novel method, called Semantic Partition Tree, which organizes nodes in a semantic space, using an upper ontology. In this approach each node can find a target in a time proportioned to the depth of the upper ontology, which is significantly less than the number of nodes in the network. Also we simulated our method with several configurations and measured its performance. The results of the simulation show that our scheme is highly scalable and can be used by real P2P networks. © 2007 IEEE... 

    Automatic Linking of Issue Reports and Commits in Software Repositories

    An issue report documents the discussions around required changes in issue-tracking systems, while a commit contains the change itself in the version control systems. Recovering links between issues and commits can facilitate many software evolution tasks such as bug localization, defect prediction, software quality measurement, and software documentation. A previous study on over half a million issues from GitHub reports only about 42.2% of issues are manually linked by developers to their pertinent commits.     Peer-to-peer (P2P) networks are beginning to form the infrastructure of future applications. Heavy network traffic limits the scalability of P2P networks. Indexing is a method to reduce this traffic. But indexes tend to become large with the growth of the network. Also, limiting the size of these indexes causes loss of indexing information. In this paper we introduce a novel ontology based index (OI) which limits the size of the indexes without sacrificing indexing information.     Peer-to-peer networks have gained a tremendous popularity in sharing huge volumes of data. Success of such networks highly depends on the performance of their search algorithm. We propose a semantic based search algorithm for unstructured peer-to-peer networks. In the proposed method we establish ontology based indexes for outgoing links of each node, which are utilized in routing the query through the network.     Abstract
    Peer-to-peer networks are beginning to form the infrastructure of future applications. One of the problems with non structured peer-to-peer networks is their scalability limitation. These networks can't contain a large number of nodes because of the large amount of traffic that they have to handle. HyperCup is a structured overlay network that solves the scalability problem for message broadcasts. This overlay broadcasts search queries throughout the entire network and all nodes receive broadcasted messages.     Effects of introducing two monovacancies in bilayer graphene are investigated by using spin-polarized density functional theory. Each layer of bilayer graphene has a monovacancy.     Because of corrosion resistance and antibacterial effects, shape memory Ni-Ti-Ag alloy can be considered for different biomedical applications. Mechanical alloying is used to produce nanostructured Ni-Ti-Ag alloy from elemental powders. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) are used to characterize the product. Results show that after 1h milling, homogenous distribution of the elements occurs; while no intermetallic compounds is observed.
