    Abstract
    In this paper we proposed a novel inverter to convert a DC voltage to a desired AC voltage. This inverter is designed for variable inductive loads and low output power applications. We proposed a novel simple PWM method which enables the inverter to keep the output current at six times more than the rated output current, without reducing output voltage value. In addition, based on a simple use of resonance in the circuit, the new inverter can raise the output voltage to extremely high amplitude for a relatively short time.     Abstract
    A new Ultra Wideband (UWB) pulse shape is proposed to mitigate coexistence issues of IEEE802.11.a WLAN and Impulse Radio UWB (IR-UWB) systems. The proposed method is applicable to the reduction of any given narrowband (NB) interference into UWB systems. This pulse shape is based on frequency up-converting of first derivative of Gaussian pulse which has an adjustable null in Power Spectral Density (PSD) depending on up-converting frequency. Both analytical and simulation results with an adaptive receiver show that an UWB system with interference from a WLAN has noticeable improved performance when using the proposed pulse in comparison with using conventional modulated Gaussian pulse

    The crystallization behavior of fluorphlogopite, a glass-ceramic in the MgO-SiO2-Al2O3-K2O-B 2O3-F system, was studied by substitution of Li 2O for K2O in the glass composition. DTA, XRD and SEM were used for the study of crystallization behavior, formed phases and microstructure of the resulting glass-ceramics. Crystallization kinetics of the glass was investigated under non-isothermal conditions, using the formal theory of transformations for heterogeneous nucleation.     Pursuing a sensing structure with a large effective surface area, partial ordered arrays of ZnO nanorods with flower-like structures are introduced for gas sensing applications. Room temperature H2S response of the grown structure shows significant enhancement after modification with Au nanoparticles. Safety reviews of existing dams suggest that geological-seismic evaluation of some dam sites has failed to recognize the existence of possibly active faults.     In this research, we have used glancing angle deposition (GLAD) RF sputtering technique with various angular speeds ranging from 5 to 30 RPM to fabricate polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, Teflon) coated Tungsten on glass substrate for producing hydrophobic surface. According to scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations, Tungsten nanorods were formed on the substrate with average diameter and length of about ∼50 nm and 300 nm, respectively.     This paper attempts to study the demand function of natural gas in Iran using smooth transition regression model (STR). To this end, gross domestic productions (GDP), real price of natural gas and temperature have been employed as variables explaining the natural gas demand from 1971 to 2009. The results indicate that natural gas demand follows an LSTR1 nonlinear two-regime model if the real price of natural gas is considered as the transition variable.     A simple method for synthesising W17O47 nanowires on tungsten oxide thin films deposited by sol-gel method on mica substrate has been reported. After thermally annealing thin films at 700 C in H2 ambient for different durations and subsequently in N2 ambient for 60 min, single-crystalline W17O47 nanowires along h0 01i direction were formed on the surface. Experimental results revealed that annealing under H2 ambient has an important effect on the growth of W17O47 nanowires.     Binding of Mg 2+, Ca 2+, Zn 2+, and Cu + metal ions with 2′-deoxythymidine (dT) nucleoside was studied using a density functional theory method and a 6-311++G(d,p) basis set.     TiO2/ZnO and ZnO/TiO2 nanolayer thin films were synthesized using sol-gel method. Optical analysis revealed high transmittance of the films in the visible range with almost the same bandgap energy for the both systems. XPS technique shows stoichiometric formation of TiO2 and ZnO on the surface of TiO2/ZnO and ZnO/TiO2 layers, respectively.     We use the theory of selfdual Lagrangians to give a variational approach to the homogenization of equations in divergence form, that are driven by a periodic family of maximal monotone vector fields. The approach has the advantage of using Γ-convergence methods for corresponding functionals just as in the classical case of convex potentials, as opposed to the graph convergence methods used in the absence of potentials.     In this study, the effects of TiO2 addition on the physical and photoelectrochemical properties of ZnO thin films have been investigated. The (TiO2)x-(ZnO)1-x nanocomposite thin films were dip-coated on both glass and indium tin oxide (ITO)-coated conducting glass substrates with various values of x, specifically 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.25 and 0.5.     Thin films of (WO3)1-x-(Fe2O 3)x composition were deposited by thermal evaporation on glass substrates and then all samples were annealed at 200-500 °C in air. Optical properties such as transmittance, reflectance, optical bangap energy, and the optical constants of the "as deposited" and the annealed films were studied using ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry.     In this study, pure TiO2 and Au:TiO2 nanocomposite thin films are both synthesized using sol-gel and RF reactive co-sputtering methods. Physical and photoelectrochemical properties of the thin films deposited by each method are compared. The optical density spectra and scanning electron microscopy images of the Au:TiO2 films reveal formation of gold nanoparticles in the all nanocomposite films synthesized by two methods.     This investigation focused on a comparison between hydroxyapatite (HA) and carbon-nanotube-reinforced hydroxyapatite composite (CNTs/HA) coatings. The HA and CNTs/HA composite (with 5wt% CNTs) coatings were prepared with the sol-gel method on 316L stainless steel. Phase evaluation by means of XRD and Raman spectroscopy was performed on the HA and CNTs/HA composite coatings.     A simple method for synthesis of W17O47 nanothick plates by annealing sol-gel-deposited tungsten oxide thin films on soda lime substrate has been reported. After heat treatment of the dried thin films at 700 °C in N2 ambient for 60 min, W17O47 nanothick plates with [100] orientation were obtained. The synthesized product was characterized and analyzed by, X-ray diffraction (XRD), SEM, XPS and ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometery.
