    Implementation and Analysis of Optical Isolation using Reciprocal and Nonreciprocal Elements

    Abstract
    In this thesis we study the possibility of unidirectional transmission of light using reciprocal and nonreciprocal elements. Unidirectional transmission will allow us to separate the coupling of light into and out of resonators and design unidirectional waveguides. We start by studying the effects of one-sided modulations of dielectric constant of reciprocal structures. One-sided modulation will satisfy the phase matching condition for the coupling of two waves only in one direction. Using coupled mode theory, we study one sided modulation in layered media.     Abstract
    This study provides a stochastic dynamic programming model with a Markov chain that explicitly focuses on the customer as well as a new model for valuing the customers in the banking industry. The proposed framework calculates individual customer’s lifetime value dynamically. The study follows a stochastic dynamic programming model that is based on the Markov chain. The deduced findings are illustrated with supplementary context from an outstanding case study. The findings underline the importance of the stochastic model for calculating customer lifetime value based on customer behavior.     Silver nanoparticles are widely used in different industries because of their antibacterial effects. Many synthesis methods were used to obtain silver nanoparticles. In this study the microwave method is used to synthesize nanosilver. This method is easier and faster in comparison to other methods. The effect of precursors’ concentrations, using different solvents, different remaining time in microwave and microwave power were studied. By increasing the reaction time, microwave power and using different solvents, nanosilver particle size varies from 2 nm up to 300nm.     This paper presents an integrated attitude control and estimation of satellite by using adaptive neural fuzzy (ANFIS) logic, indeed a system which using ANFIS controller and estimator is considered then an ANFIS simulator that can control and estimate contemporary is supposed. ANFIS system has been trained by using data obtained from an optimal PID controller. Then ANFIS controller performance has been compared with the performance of a PID controller, the analogy has repeated in different situations such as noise and uncertainty.     MOEMS (Micro-Opto-Electro-Mechanical System) are MEMS in which the optical part plays a dominant role. The use of MOEMS as scanners and projectors has been studied lately. For high speed scanning applications, electrostatic comb drive actuation has several advantages. In this paper, we demonstrate the application of sliding mode control scheme for amplitude control of comb-actuated resonant microscanners. This method that leads to a simple and practical control function is simply extendable for microscanners with other type of actuation and even for any kind of oscillators that need amplitude control.     In this research, synthesis and characterization of photocatalytic properties of g-C3N4 / TiO2 nanocomposite was carried out. The target of research was to increase the photocatalytic properties of g-C3N4. So at first, g-C3N4 was synthesized from melamine precursor via thermal pyrolysis. Then, TiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized via sol – gel method. g-C3N4 / TiO2 nanocomposite with heterojunction structure was synthesized in one step by thermal pyrolysis of certain amounts of melamine precursor and TiO2 nanoparticles mixture in 550 ℃.     In this piece of work, a gravity model is suggested as Iranian non-fuel export model to OIC countries. The most important results out of this model are the acquired coefficients of two variables, namely “ECO membership” and “Economic and Trade Freedom of Importer”. At first, we expected that for importer, being a member of ECO would increase the amount of trade with iran. Surprisingly, this is not what we see in a model.     In this paper, a comprehensive model is used to describe dynamic behavior of SDA and its components during stepwise motion. In this model, Hamilton’s principle and Newton's method are used to extract dynamic equations of the SDA plate and dynamic equation for the linear motion of SDA.     In this paper, a Block Iterative Method with Adaptive Thresholding for Sparse Recovery (BIMATSR) is proposed to recover the received signal in an under-sampled distributed multiple-input multiple-output radar. The BIMATSR scheme induces block sparsity with the aid of a signal-dependent thresholding operator which increases the accuracy of the target parameter estimation task. We have proved that under some sufficient conditions, the suggested scheme converges to a stable solution. Moreover, different simulation scenarios confirm that the BIMATSR algorithm outperforms its counterparts in terms of the target parameter estimation.
