Study, Analysis & Optimizing The Process Of Approval, Design & Implementation Of Projects In The Iranian Oil Terminal Company(IOTC)

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Moosavi, Saeed (Author) ; Mostafavi, Mostafa (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Since the Iranian oil terminals company(I.O.T.C.) has been the main and strategic gateway of exporting petroleum in the country and plays an important role in the optimum continuity of national, regional and international energy supply chain and also conducting the needed projects whit a desirable quality and minimum time and cost has a prominent influence on steady continuity of manufacturing, importing and exporting of petroleum and gas production. The main purpose of doing this thesis is diagnosing the process of approval, design and implementation of projects in the I.O.T.C., Thus, whit regarding to the modern needs of implementing projects and the necessity of reviewing the structure...

Claims Prevention Management & Counter Claim Management in Oil Industry Projects of Iran

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Hasheminasab, Hamidreza (Author) ; Ebrahimi, Nasrollah (Supervisor) ; Mortaheb, Mohammad Mehdi (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In recent years, frequent involvements in claims have been inevitable due to unpredictable economic changes and increasing complexities in construction industry. Therefore, even appropriately made contracts are not exempted from claims. On the other hand, construction contract claims are time-consuming, expense-involving and most likely leading to unsatisfactory results. However, there may be some positive outcomes, such as time extension or compensation of damages. To launch investigationson claim management, a list of important and frequent claims in oil and gas industry projects of Iran was extracted after a succinct documents review. Further, the most important claim causes were...

Improving the Security of Private Set Intersectio

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Mahdavi Oliaiy, Mahdi (Author) ; Aref, Mohammad Reza (Supervisor) ; Mohajeri, Javad (Co-Advisor)
    Abstract
In some applications in the field of information technology such as social networks and medical databases in different hospitals, sometimes an entity needs to calculate the extent of its sharing of information documents with other institutions. Access to one entity's information is not possible due to the confidentiality of users' information. Therefore, in order to calculate common documents, users should be able to do so without revealing their private information. Therefore, it is required protocols such that can only obtain the shared information between two mentioned entities, while preserving the confidentiality of uncommon information. The schemes that meet the above objectives are...

Online Policy Enforcement on Heavy Network Traffic Using Protocol Parsers

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Ebrahimi, Alireza (Author) ; Jalili, Rasool (Supervisor)
    Abstract
In recent years, internet traffic is experiencing an explosive growth. High performance networking in large scale computer networks creates several security challenges. Exploiting Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) is regarded as a big challenge especially for massive data when number of concurrent connections grows. Using simple security based on network layer data can easily avaded by attackers and also can not detect more sophisticated attacks like DDoS. In this paper we proposed a new grammar model named bidirectional asynchronous counting grammar and it’s automata. With this grammar model we can define policies based on extracted fields in both request and response flows. Using new model of...
