    The Effect of Solvent Type on the Characteristic of TiO2 Nanometric Coatings Produced by Electrophoretic Method

    Abstract
    Titania is semiconductor material and have many applications including photocatalysis, photochromic, air and water purification, sensors, and solar cell. In electrophoretic deposition, charged particles dispersed in a stable suspension move towards an oppositely charged electrode, and form dense layer of deposit on it. In this investigation electrophoretic deposition of titania nano-particles in suspensions prepared by different solvents (methanol, ethanol and butanol) with and without dispersant (triethanolamine and polyethylenimine), was studied.     Hydroxy Apatite/Titania Nanostructure Biocoating on Ti-6Al-4V Alloy by Sol-Gel Dip-Coating

    Abstract
    Ceramic coatings on metallic substrates are used in many different applications. In biomaterials science, hydroxyapatite coating due to its similarity to the mineral part of bone structure is used to modification of implants surface. In this research, the HA/TiO2 double layer was coated on Ti-6Al-4V by sol- gel dip-coating method. After preparation of stable TiO2 sol, the Ti-6Al-4V substrate was dipped into the TiO2 sol. The speed of dipping was 10cm/min. After drying at 80°C, the TiO2 layer heat-treated at different temperature (350-500°C) for 1h. The HA outer layer was coated by dipping of Ti-6Al-4V substrate with TiO2 layer into HA sol, followed by heat-treatment at different temperatures... 

    Electrophoretic Deposition of TiO2 Self-Cleaning Coatings

    Abstract
    In this research, TiO2 nano-particles were electrophoretically deposited on the FTO glass to produce self-cleaning property. Two type of suspensions with different TiO2 nano-powders were used. Merck and fabricated by sol-gel route, TiO2 nano-powders were utilized in suspensions and Conductivity, pH and zeta potential of suspensions were determined. Electrophoretic deposition of two kind of suspensions was performed in different voltages of 10, 30 and 60V (for 10s) and room temperature. TiO2 coatings were sintered in 450oC for 1 hour.     Synthesis and Biocompatibility Evaluation of TiO2/Pyrolytic Carbon Core/Shell

    Abstract
    Carbon-based thin films possess low friction coefficient, low surface roughness, chemical inertness and outstanding biocompatibility. In the present work, TiO2 nanoparticles were covered by a thin film of pyrolytic carbon (PyC) to provide a core-shell morphology. The PyC film was deposited by dehydrogenation of methane in a fluidized bed chemical vapour deposition (FBCVD) reactor at 1100 °C. The prepared specimens were characterized by various analytical methods including XRD, SEM, TEM, AFM, TGA and contact angle measurement techniques.     Abstract
    Polycaprolactone (PCL) scaffolds and its composites containing bioactive glass particles (45S5) and TiO2 nanostructures with pre-defined and controlled external and internal architecture were prepared via an indirect three-dimensional (3D) printing process. The scaffolds had an interconnected structure with macro- (400-500 μm) and micro- (~25 μm) pores. Bioactivity, mechanical behavior and kinetics of tissue growth in 3D scaffolds were studied.     Abstract
    In this project, the nanostructured titanium oxide with heaily doping of oxides of cerium and tin was synthesized using the sol-gel process and its properties were studied. To synthesize TiO2, titanium tetraisopropoxide precursor was used. Cerium nitrate and aqueous tin chloride precursors were utilized for cerium and tin synthesis. Then, they were mixed with Titania precursor causing a severe doping. After that, a gel was produced and it was aged and eventually, it was dried and calcined.
