, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Hossein Bana, Mohammad (Author) ; Golshani, Mahdi (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Formulating of general relativity and the assumption that gravity is only effective interaction in large-scale universe, has been a beginning for surveying the whole universe , its start and its end as a physical phenomenon. According to the Friedmann's answer to the Einstein's equation , Hubble observations and CMB radiation observations , the Big Bang model was accepted as the standard model of cosmology.
According to this model , the universe which is assumed homogeneous and isotropic , starts from a singularity (Bang) and is currently expanding. In 1970s after some tentative researches like observation of homogeneity and isotropy of CMB and visionary researches some problems like...

, Ph.D. Dissertation Sharif University of Technology Abolhasani, Ali Akbar (Author) ; Firouzjahi, Hassan (Supervisor) ; Golshani, Mehdi (Co-Advisor) ; Sheikh Jabbari, Mohammad Mahdi (Co-Advisor)
    Abstract
The cosmic inflation paradigmwas first introduced as a possible solution to the standardBig Bang cosmology problems. [1]. The inflationary models not only provide a solutionfor so the called flatness and horizon problems, but also they predict perturbations asprimordial seeds of large scale structures of Universe. Inflationary models can connecthigh-energy physics to the experiments. There is a mutual relation between inflationand high energy physics. It is necessary to find a fundamental description of inflationarymechanism and on the other hand the observational predictions of inflationary modelscan put bound on free parameters of associated fundamental theories. Thanks to vastdata...

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Ebrahimian, Ehsan (Author) ; Abolhassani, Ali Akbar (Supervisor) ; Sheikh Jabbari, Mohammad Mahdi (Co-Advisor)
    Abstract
We know the matter can curve the space-time according to the general theory of relativity. On the other hand Quantum Field Theory has been formulated in a flat space-time and we cannot use most of its techniques within a curved space-time. Formulating the Quantum Field Theory in curved space-time is important for various subjects in physics like early universe or black hole physics. We will review the formulating QFT in cosmological background and will look for observable consequences on Cosmological Microwave Background in this thesis

    Neutrino Footprint in Large-scale Structure

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Esmaeili, Amirfarzan (Author) ; Baghram, Shant (Supervisor) ; Torabian, Mahdi (Supervisor)
    Abstract
Today with respect to the particle physics experiments and astrophysical observations we know that Neutrinos are massive. Free streaming of light Neutrinos supresses the density field of matter and opposes gravitational growth, so that clusters formed at fixed mass are fewer and hence more biased than for a pure CDM density field. One way to study the effects of Neutrinos on the formation of large-scale structures is to examine the matter power-spectrum and corellation function in the presence of massive Neutrinos. In the presence of massive Neutrinos, the matter power-spectrum is suppressed in small scales and also correlation function and clustering bias are changed in comparison to the CDM...

Top Quark Mass Measurement Via Leptonic Observables in the CMS Experiment using 13 TeV PP Collision Data at the LHC

, M.Sc. Thesis Sharif University of Technology Naderpour, Farbod (Author) ; Torabian, Mahdi (Supervisor) ; Zeinali, Maryam (Co-Supervisor)
    Abstract
The top quark is the heaviest of elementary particles. It gives the dominant contribution to the radiative correction to the Higgs self coupling constant which itself determines the structure of the electroweak vacuum. Therefore, it is extremely important to have a precise measurement of the top quark mass. On the other hand, whereas the lifetime of top quark is short and rapidly decays to lighter particles, it is not easy to compute and measure its mass with a desired precision. In this work, we propose a measurement method to determine the top quark mass in the t▁t→leptons +jets channel by analyzing the decay of the b-hadron in the top quark decay chain. Through the reconstruction of the...
