    The alloy steel plant was exploited in1999; and the maintenance department starts its function and its activities according to the written PM software by Austria’s BOHLER Company. The PM program was written for the entire factory. Having worked with the PM for eight years, now it is possible to evaluate its performance. There are two main problems in the maintenance system; firstly, the existing PM System is incomplete, some important feature of the PM program is incomplete.     Digital images degrade during transmittion via noisy channels. The goal of this thesis is to propose new methods for image recovery from random and block losses In the first part of the thesis, various techniques for image recovery from random losses will be reviewd and then a method will be proposed based on the correlation among image pixels in the spatial domain. The method is fast, efficient and robust against Gaussian noise. Also a technique will be developed for quality estimation in the recipient.     The 2-(2′-hydroxyphenyl)-oxazoline ligand (Hphox) is generated from 1:1 condensation of methyl salicylate with 2-aminoethanol. Novel [Ru(Hphox)2(H2O)2] (Hphox = 2-(2′-hydroxyphenyl)-oxazoline ) complex has been synthesized and characterized by physic-chemical methods. Oxidation of sulfides catalyzed by the mixed-ligand ruthenium(II) complex [Ru(Hphox)2(H2O)2]using urea-hydrogen peroxide (UHP) as oxidant was investigated under mild condition within 1 h.     In this work, hypereutectic Al-20Si-5Fe-2Ni powder was prepared by gas atomizing method. The alloy was fabricated by melting of commercially pure metals and re-melting at approximately 200 K above the liquidus temperature. The molten alloy was then atomized by nitrogen at a gas pressure of 0.8 MPa. The nozzle diameter was 3 mm. The aluminum alloy powders were milled under pure Argon atmosphere with a ball to powder ratio of 10:1 in a planetary ball for 12, 24, 36 and 48 hours.
