    Abstract
Aromatic and cyclic organic compounds such as nitrobenzene (NB) are widely used in various industries and are present in their wastewater. In addition, the photocatalytic process has received considerable attention due to its lower chemical consumption and more efficient degradation of refractory pollutants. In this study, a CoFe2O4-ZnO (CFZ) composite was prepared and evaluated its efficiency in the degradation of NB from aqueous solution under UV light. The optical, structural, and physicochemical properties of catalysts were characterized using PL, UV–vis DRS, XRD, TEM, FESEM-EDS, and VSM techniques and then discussed in detail. It was found that not only does the use of CF facilitate the...

The dependency of removal percentage on various parameters such as amount of catalyst, pH, reaction time and temperature and the effect of radical scavenging agents were studied. Finally, recoverability and reusability of the vanadium supported on...

    2009
    Abstract
Most recent findings on structural and magnetic properties of Fe-Ni-Co nano-powders produced by mechanical alloying and subsequent low-temperature hydrogen reduction are presented in this paper. At 300 rpm, with ball to powder weight ratio of 20, single phase nickel-cobalt ferrite is mechanically synthesized for 50 h. The as-milled powder is then subjected to 1 h hydrogen reduction at 700 °C. Hydrogen reduction results in the formation of Fe-16.5%Ni-16.5%Co nano-powders. The phases of the powders are identified by X-ray diffraction (XRD) utilizing Cu Kα radiation. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) are used to study the morphology and the average...

    Abstract
The magnetic MOF-based catalytic system has been reported here to be an efficient catalyst for synthesis of carbamates under optimal conditions. The robust MOF catalyst was built based on magnetic nanoparticles and HKUST-1 which further modified with thioacetamide and carbonization. The catalyst structure was confirmed by various techniques. Furthermore, the products’ yields were obtained in good to excellent for all reactions under mild conditions which result from superior activity of the synthesized heterogeneous catalyst containing Cupper. Also, the magnetic property of the MOF-based catalyst makes it easy to separate from reaction mediums and reuse in the next runs. In summary, the...

    Abstract
This study describes an odorless protocol for the synthesis of unsymmetrical sulfides via cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of nitroarenes with alkyl halides in the presence of thiourea as sulfur source under ligand-free conditions. The catalyst was recycled using external magnetic field and reused for ten consecutive runs in the reaction of nitrobenzene, thiourea and benzyl bromide without significant loss of activity. Apart from being magnetically separable, being inexpensive and air-stable are another important features of this catalytic system. All the products were formed in good yields and short reaction times. © 2017 Elsevier B.V

Also, magnetic properties of powders versus milling time and annealing at different temperatures extensively changed, so that annealing at 1200 °C increased the magnetization saturation of the as-milled powder from 15.1 to 53.6 emu/g. X-ray powder diffraction technique (XRD) with Cu-Ka radiation was employed for...
