  7. Abstract:
  8. Because of production of large volumes of Produces Water during oil exploration, it is necessary to purify this water for reuse or discharging to environment. Thus, finding a suitable method for removing contaminations seems necessary. In the present study, removal of soluble and dispersed organic contaminants from produced water by Dissolved Air Precipitation/ Solvent Sublation has been studied. Combination of floatation by dissolved air and extraction with solvent has been used for removal of organic compounds in order to study simultaneous effect of both methods on removal efficiency. Samples used in the experiments were tested in two groups: the first group was synthesized samples of organic pollutants in water and the second group was real samples of produced water from oil fields. In this study, at first produced water and its quality is introduced and then its environmental impacts and different methods of treatment of produced water have been discussed. Then the applied method in this project (dissolved air precipitation/ solvent sublation) is introduced and removal mechanism by this method has been described. At the end, the pilot and its specifications, tests and the results are presented. The results show the acceptable efficiency of the system for removal of soluble and dispersed organic compounds from produced water. Also, it was observed that pressure and bubble size have positive effect on removal efficiency. Presence of salt reduces bubbles size which results in applicability of this method for produced waters with high concentration of salt. Treatment of produced water by this method led to 80% removal of organic pollution
