  7. Abstract:
  8. This study works on the novel researchment about produced waste water treatment in an annular single-chamber microbial fuel cell. This configuration has a spiral anode which increase available surface for microorganismes. In this study two main goals are followed;first Bio-eletricity production in a microbial fuell cell and second Bio-hydrogen production in a microbial electrolysis cell. In bio-electricity production effect of two parameters were considered;effect of light and substrate concentration .Two systems were used in this research;one of them was exposed to the light and another was out of reach of any light. Results show that darkness has better effect on the cell’s performance because the second system(without light) has better current and power density. In this consideration, for hydrogen production we need to optimize two parameters: substrate concentration and adding voltage.According to the recent resultes; these optimum parameters are 800 mV and 650 mg/lit.According to the results; performance of these cells are not considerable (in comparison with other cells). It’s due to high internal resistance of system and hypersalinity of wastewater. We can overcome this problem by desalinating of waste water
