  8. In this thesis, we would consentraite in the topic of irregular overlapped subarrays. In general, it would be a combination of topics overlapped and irregual arrays. In phased array topics, one of the important issues is cost. Main cost of array is consist of its phase shifter cost at all. Duo to the cost of phase shofters, overlapped subarray structure might be used. Philosophy of using overlapped subarrays returned to similar phase required for elements adjust together. But this emphasis is true just in limited field of view fields. But grating lobes could be seen even without beam steering. For solving grating lobes problem, overlapped structured has been presented. In overlapped structres, overall pattern is multiple of subarray pattern and element pattern so grating lobes might be omitted when there is no beam steering. In this thesis, omitting the grating lobes is in concern. We would try to combine overlapped and irregular structrues duo to omit grating lobes in subarray structre. In the following steps, first we would concern on overlapped structres and their limits in beam steering mode. Then irregular structres and their limitaions would be considerd. At least, irregular overlapped structre problem would be solved as an matrix approach. at the end, results of irregular and regular structres would be compared
