  7. Abstract:
  8. Nowadays, according to increasing development of construction industry in the world especially in the building area, the need to use technology and innovation for fabrication and maintenance of this industry has increased. And this fact becomes apparent that the use of traditional systems of construction isn’t tailored the countries’ requirements anymore. One of the construction industry’s limitations is the restrictions on architectural designs reys. The columns are among the most important components of structure and have a major role in bearing all gravity and lateral loads and transferring them to the foundation. The failure or destruction of the components in the structure under applied loads is not acceptable because of the destruction of the entire building. In the project we attempted to study structure behaviors by investigating the displacement of some storeys’ columns that architecturally we need to displace them as well as we attempted to get some results about the displacements that are significant and performed on the beams. In this way, many of structures’ interior and exterior architecture problems can be handled and more efficient and stylish buildings can be created. The procedure in this paper is that firstly, three structures with regular plans and different story heights were modeled in 3D in OpenSees software, then several columns were selected and each time one of them is displaced in a specific direction in a number of upper stories on the bars, this displacement is L/10 once, another time it is L/5 and the last time it is L/2, this action causes irregularity in the structures. Then after the columns' displacement, the behaviors of each structure are studied and compared
