  7. Abstract:
  8. Blood supply chains play a key role in the healthcare systems. Any improvement in the management of these chains have a direct impact on the whole healthcare system. In this research two model for centralized and decentralized blood supply chain networks have been developed by mixed integer linear programming. These models are multi-periodic and include both tactical and strategical decisions for the several periods. In this research the blood group compatibility has been considered in the models, also demand and supply of blood have been considered uncertain, and due to this reason in order to deal with the uncertainty of model the robust Possibilistic programming has been utilized to find the certain form of models. The purpose of this research is allocating and locating of temporary and main facilities, as well as lab centers for the mid-range cities. After developing the centralized and decentralized models, a real case study for the Babol city in Iran has been conducted and the number and location of the mentioned facilities has been determined for the blood supply chain network of this city. In order to solve the final and certain form of models the CPLEX software has been utilized and after solving the problem the objective functions of decentralized and centralized models have been obtained 28454.5 and 24003.7, respectively. In the final part of this research the performance of developed models has been surveyed by sensitivity analysis, after evaluation it has been determined that the performance of robust possibilistic programming for solving this problem is acceptable, furthermore by doing these experiments it has been determined that the centralized blood supply chain for the cities like the Babol in terms of population and vastness is more preferable
