  7. Abstract:
  8. With the advent of the globalization paradigm, the industrial interactions among manufacturing companies have become easier, and the possibility of sharing of the resources among them has been introduced. This issue, coupled with the increasing diversity of customer needs, has led to a change in business models of manufacturing industries and because of that, in the field of globalized manufacturing, a new paradigm called cloud manufacturing has been proposed in which service-orientation is one of the main features. Despite of the extensive studies on cloud manufacturing, the lack of a framework that, based on the service-orientation, determines the improving of manufacturing processes to cloud manufacturing paradigm is a considerable gap in the literature of researches on cloud manufacturing. Since IT plays an important role in cloud manufacturing, the frameworks which are proposed in the field of "IT service management" can be of much ineterst for fulfilling the aforementioned gap. "IT Infrastructure Library" is one of the most well-known frameworks and best Practices that have been proposed for the realization of IT service management so far.In this study, by using the theory of Axiomatic Design and based on the IT Infrastructure Library framework, after reviewing the processes of this framework and based on their priority in the manufacturing field, a framework for the clarification of the requirements for the entrance of a manufacturing organization into a cloud manufacturing environment has been presented. Subsequently, based on the proposed framework, a checklist has been prepared by which a manufacturing organization can be audited from the perspective of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library, and identify the contradictions and corrective actions required. In this regard, using the prepared checklist, the Laboratory of manufacturing processes in the department of Industrial engineering of the Sharif University of Technology was audited and the necessary metrics were determined to enable this laboratory to work in cloud based paradigm and to meet the requirements of the proposed framework
