  7. Abstract:
  8. In healthcare field to reduce costs, high availability, increasing reliability, access to data from multiple locations and manage distributed information between centers, doctors and patients; there is a certain need to a distributed system and cloud services are a good option to meet that need. In this thesis different models of service delivery in the healthcare were studied which included traditional and cloud models. Also from the survey, the metrics which we used to compare these models were extracted. These metrics include quantitative metrics such as cost, setup time, availability, multi-regional, elasticity, efficiency and qualitative metrics including integrity, privacy, portability, protection, disasters recovery, managerial complexity and maintenance. Then online booking system was selected as an example which is a basic service in healthcare. To select the appropriate open source online booking system according to extracted metrics such as survival, license type, document use, being user friendly and sponsorship also, by the use of survey results and AHP method, bookscheduler software was selected as the basic open source software for online booking. This software can be use in traditional models of service delivery to install and handle on distributed servers also it can be set up on the cloud, then the software was set up and traditionally and on the cloud and was evaluated based on twelve metrics which derived from evaluating service delivery models. Cloud base model is more appropriate method to provide service delivery in healthcare based on evaluating models with the metrics specially cloud base models are more efficient in optimizing system resources at the time of service delivery to the user
