  7. Abstract:
  8. Iran as the second country with huge reserves of natural gas (with more than 30 trillion cubic meters of extractable gas) and according to the horizon of 1403, in the field of natural gas important goals such as reaching the second largest gas producer in the world, increasing the share of energy basket Gas in the country is pursuing an increase in gas exports and an increase in gas injections into the country's oil reservoirs. At present, natural gas supply and demand management is seen in the world as a tool in the commercial market and enterprises. In this way, gas producers sell gas at a higher price as demand increases and store it as demand decreases. The science of geomechanics in natural gas storage tanks not only has a significant effect on the design and stability of natural gas storage tanks, but also increases their efficiency. The effect of geomechanical parameters starts from drilling and well stability and also covers the parts of operation, reservoir engineering and reservoir development. Geomechanics plays important roles in the mechanisms of production from reservoir, subsidence, permeability dependence on the matrix and rift and well stability. Reservoir density also affects the performance of well facilities. In addition, in rift reservoirs, changes in reservoir stresses play an important role in the distribution of rift networks. In slotted tanks, permeability dependence and stress affect the injectability of natural gas storage reservoirs
