  7. Abstract:
  8. Today, cancer mortality is one of the most important problems, even considering the scientific advances that offer more effective solutions to treat some diseases, providing a way to prevent and treat this disease is one of the most important issues that engineers have considered. This is achieved by designing a controller to minimize the size of the cancer tumor population, increase healthy cells, optimize treatment time, and drug dose.To achieve this goal, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, tumor growth, and healthy cell growth models, and mathematical models for subsystems that affect tumor growth, such as the angiogenic system, have been studied to develop a single mathematical model. In this study, one of the cancer treatments, which is a combination of chemotherapy and anti-angiogenic drugs are discussed. After selecting and evaluating the mathematical model optimal solutions can be achieved by solving equations and applying appropriate control methods. In this project, by designing a controller by linear control methods, pole placement, nonlinear optimal based on state-dependent Riccati equation and combining them with hybrid linear and nonlinear Kalman filter for estimating states, robust H_∞control by LMI method in hybrid and Genetic algorithm, A treatment program is used in the form of repetitious periods of chemotherapy and rest. Sensitivity to sampling time in the feedback control method showed that with increasing sampling time, treatment time decreases. In rest and chemotherapy, if the duration of drug administration, the rest between the two administrations and the dose of the drug varies an optimal treatment plan is obtained.
