  7. Abstract:
  8. Molybdenum is one of the important elements of the intermediary metal with atomic number 42, which is used in various industries, but among the important uses of this metal in the nuclear industry, we can mention the presence of this element in the production of yellow cake as an impurity and also as a precursor for the production of radiopharmaceuticals. It is one of the impurities that remain in all stages of yellow cake production along with uranium, and the high presence of this element causes the centrifuges to become unbalanced during the injection of "U" "F" _"6" gas, and on the other hand, technetium, the main ingredient in the production of radiopharmaceuticals, It comes from the decay of molybdenum, and due to the low amount of molybdenum in the earth's crust, it is necessary to separate this metal from the effluents of various industries with the help of existing methods and reuse it. Adsorption with the help of polymer adsorbents is one of the new methods that has recently received much attention, which has been used to increase the amount of absorption capacity of PAN electrospun nanofibers (15% wt), which initially to increase the strength and efficiency of the adsorbent, GMA monomers (10% v/v) was grafted to the nanofibers with the help of gamma rays (30 kGy) and then to increase the selectivity in molybdenum adsorption, the amine functional group and the first, second and third types were used, which according to the experiments, triethylamine (60% v/v) has brought the best result and after finding the optimum points of adsorbent synthesis with the help of RSM, the parameters affecting the adsorption conditions such as pH=3.5, adsorbent mass=0.05 gr and initial concentration of molybdenum 66 ppm were optimized and The maximum adsorption capacity of 43.93 mg/g was obtained and this process follows the Langmuir isotherm, pseudo-second-order kinetics and exothermic reaction and was recovered with the help of 0.5 M hydrochloric acid, and also the adsorbent synthesized in the real feed has the ability to selectively adsorb molybdenum with adsorption capacity was 109.79 mg/g
