    Successful formulation development for poor water soluble drugs is a critical, long-standing and challengeable problem in cancer treatment. One of the methods for transporting low-soluble drugs is using nanoparticles which are able to pass through capillary walls of tumor tissues due to their small size. An example of the nanoparticles is micelle systems. Functionalized β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) by hyper branched polyglycerol (HPG) can dissolve low-soluble compounds.     Experimental Study of the β-CD-g-PG Hybrid Nanostructure On Phase Solubilityof Hydrophobic Drug

    Abstract
    Some widely used drugs such as paclitaxel (PTX) are poorly water soluble. The clinical use of PTX with solubilizer causes side effects. These problems limited its application in treatments. In this work has been studied the effect of β-CD-g-PG (HPCD) hybrid nanomaterials, conjugated PG branches onto β-CD core, on the water solubility of PTX. First HPCD has been synthesized. Then the inclusion complex of PTX with HPCD was prepared. The inclusion complex efficiency for PTX:HPCD complex in 1:25 mole ratio was 87%.     Abstract
    Fully supramolecular dendrosomes (FSD) as bi-phase drug delivery systems are reported in this work. For preparation of FSD, amphiphilic linear-dendritic supramolecular systems (ALDSS) have been synthesized by host-guest interactions between hyperbranched polyglycerol having β-cyclodextrin core and bi-chain polycaprolactone (BPCL) with a fluorescine focal point. Self-assembly of ALDSS in aqueous solutions led to FSD. They were able to encapsulate paclitaxel with a high loading capacity. The dendrosome-based drug delivery systems were highly sensitive to pH and temperature.     The incorporation of modified β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) into a poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm)/chitosan (PNCS) nanohydrogel was studied. β-CD was functionalized with acrylic groups, with different numbers of vinyl bonds added per β-CD molecule. The surfactant-free dispersion polymerization (SFDP) semi-batch method was used to synthesize the nanohydrogel. Increasing the number of vinyl groups per β-CDAC (β-CD acrylate) molecule induced the formation of smaller nanogels with diameters ranging from 142 to 68 nm.     Superparamagnetic Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (SPIONs) were synthesized and coated with pseudopolyrotaxanes (PPRs) and proposed as a novel hybrid nanostructure for medical imaging and drug delivery. PPRs were prepared by addition of α-cyclodextrin rings to functionalized polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain with hydrophobic triazine end-groups.     Highly fluorescent and water-soluble cadmium selenide quantum dots (QDs) functionalised by thio-cyclodextrin (HS-CD) and mercaptoacetic acid (MAA) as surface coating agents (QDs-CD-MAA) were synthesised successfully. The synthesised hybrid nanomaterials, QDs-CD-MAA, were able to form water-soluble complexes with paclitaxel and folic acid.     The synthesis of a new drug delivery system based on hybrid nanomaterials containing a β-CD core and hyperbranched PG is described. Conjugating PG branches onto β-CD not only increases its water solubility but also affects its host/guest properties deeply. It can form molecular inclusion complexes with small hydrophobic guest molecules such as ferrocene or FITC with reasonable release.
