    A novel bi-objective three-echelon supply chain problem is formulated in this paper in which cross-dock facilities to transport the products are modeled as an M/M/m queuing system. The proposed model is validated using the epsilon constraint method when applied to solve some small-size problems.     This paper deals with a two-echelon inventory system for a non-repairable item where the system consists of one warehouse and m identical retailers and uses continuous-review (R, Q) ordering policy. To find an effective stocking policy for this system, a mathematical model with the objective of minimizing the total annual inventory investment subject to constraints on the average annual order frequency, expected number of backorders, and budget is formulated.     We propose an approach for computing the general compromised solution of an LR fuzzy linear system by use of a ranking function when the coefficient matrix is a crisp m×n matrix. The solution is so that mean values of a compromised solution satisfies the corresponding crisp linear system. We show that if the corresponding crisp system is incompatible, then the fuzzy linear system lacks any solution. Otherwise, we solve a constrained least squares problem to compute a compromised solution.     The design of a copper chloride laser is described, and the laser is optimised by studying the dependence of its output power on the buffer gas type. The voltage and current of the laser discharge at the optimum buffer gas pressure are measured. The influence of the diaphragm diameter on the specific output power is studied after optimisation of switch parameters.
