    Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are best known for their great structural diversity. The uniformity in the properties of MOFs is mainly governed by the size and morphology of the particles. In the present research, iron-MIL-88A was prepared by a modulator-assisted solvothermal method, and the role of modulating agents in the formation process of MOF particles was investigated.     The purpose of this study was to produce an intelligent superabsorbent polymer (SAP) to be used as a pH sensitive matrix for the controlled delivery of drugs. Novel types of highly swelling SAPs were prepared by grafting crosslinked acrylic acid-co-acrylamide (AA-co-AAm) chains onto pectin by free-radical polymerization.     In this investigation a new type of superabsorbent hydrogel based on agar was prepared, and the effect of the feed ratio of some components (acrylic acid, MBA, APS and agar) on the swelling capacity of the hydrogel was systematically studied. Maximum water absorbency of the optimized final product was found to be 1,100∈g/g in distilled water.     E.coli was immobilized by entrapment within calcium alginate beads using cell suspensions of different concentrations. The immobilization procedure resulted in beads with a homogeneous cell distribution, referred to as a Non-overlapping Cell (NC) configuration.     In the present study the effect of nanodiamond (ND) on the adsorption capacity of Drug has been investigated. Thermal oxidation nanodiamond (OND) was used as adsorbents for Methotrexate adsorption. The surface properties of NDs were studied by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and zeta potential. It was determined that thermal oxidation changed the surface properties of ND, including increase the amount of carboxylic acid groups and decreasing the zeta potential of ND by increasing the thermal oxidation time.     As a novel, recyclable nanocatalyst, (Fe3O4)-GOTfOH based Ag nanoparticles doped Starch/PEG-poly (acrylic acid) nanocomposite (Fe3O4@GOTfOH/Ag/St-PEG-AcA) was applied for one-pot synthesis of 2,4,6-triarylpyridine derivatives under water solvent conditions. The prepared nanocomposite was also evaluated in terms of biocompatibility for wound healing.     The derivatives of glucose such as glucosamine (β-D-GlcN) and N-acetyl-D-β-glucosamine (GlcNAc) are significant in several biological systems. D-GlcN has been used widely to treat osteoarthritis in humans and animal models as well as GlcNAc has been proposed as a treatment for autoimmune diseases. The DFT/B3LYP/6–311++G (d,p) method as well as QTAIM and NBO analyses were used to the acidity values of D-GlcN and GlcNAc sugars and their complexes with alkali ions in the gas phase.     In the present study, thermally oxidized nanodiamond (OND) was first modified non-covalently with dodecylamine (DDA) as corrosion inhibitor. In this respect, reactive primary amine of DDA molecule with high isoelectric point (IEP) could interact easily with negative charge carboxylic acid groups of OND.
